 Martin Markl

Works at the intersection of topology, algebra, geometry and their application in mathematical physics.

After graduating from Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, he continued a Ph.D. program at the Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences. In the early 1990s, he left for the United States as part of the Fulbright Program. Since then, he has been visiting leading mathematical institutions across the world. Author and co-author of over 80 research papers and 3 monographs. Over one thousand citations, dozens of guest lectures at international conferences and universities.

Currently he works at the Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences, Board Chair at the Institute, elected delegate to the Assembly of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
